T A T J A N A  R I S T O V S K A

BIOGRAPHY

 

 

Born in Skopje (1981). She graduated on the Faculty of fine arts on the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje (2007), department for pedagogy with major subject sculpture in the class of Professor Stanko Pavleski.

 

Tatjana mostly works with the mediums sculptures and installations creating artistic objects crafted through a process of experimenting and combining materials and techniques, having a final purpose of presenting the idea in a most suitable manner in order to bring it closer to the recipient.

The Works that she creates, first and foremost have the purpose to have an inspiring and optimistic influence over the individual, the group, the society, but also to transfers a feeling of beauty, surprise and a more complete experiencing through their “sensory consummation”. The basic segment of the works is the tactility that enables the work to be perceived not only conceptually, but also through experience and senses. The process of manual creation is an important and integral part of the whole of the work, forming its multilayered content.

 

In 2014 she was awarded with a scholarship from the Aad agency (Art, Architecture, Design),  a course for personal development and preparation for international creative universities and employment.

She was awarded the honor for Best student of the class of 2001-2005 of the department of pedagogy at the Faculty of fine arts, Skopje (2005).

 

During her studies, she works as a student-demonstrator at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje (2003 – 2005). At the same she works as a designer for fusion glass at the Arte Fuzing Vitraz – a studio for glass design in Skopje.

From 2008 to 2013 she works as a designer, designer of glass products, fresco-painter and ceramics designer.  

In 2012 she founded and managed a company for design of art products from clay and other materials.

Since april 2015 she held weekly ceramics workshops at her studio KeramikaCafe where she still works today. Also she is a founder of KERAKAMIKA - brand for ceramic products.

 

She is one of the founders of the art group and art space Art I.N.S.T.I.T.U.T in Skopje (2009) and a founder of the art group MOMI, founded in 2012.

She participates in numerous joint and two individual exhibitions. Among the more significant are: Reflected distances, Kurshumli An, Skopje (2007), Plurality, Divinity, Nativity, Belgrade, Serbia (2013), Taboo, Split, Croatia (2013), Resist What?, Zagreb, Croatia (2014).
